The 3pointer is something ordtak

The 3-pointer is something we practice a lot, and we have a lot of guys who we feel can shoot it. As long as they are taking good shots, we are going to encourage them to keep shooting. If I knew what else there was to do, I'd do it.

I just feel good. I practice every day. Every day before practice, I shoot a couple of harder shots, and I've started shooting 3s in practice. My shot, I'm almost there. I shoot about a foot in front of the 3-point line.

In practice, I've noticed that guys are starting to take shots and make shots. It's good to see guys realizing that without Scotty's outside shooting, we need to get more inside shots.

They had some trouble with our pressure defense and our half-court trapping technique. They are a great shooting team. We knew they could come back. They are going to shoot the ball and shoot it well and it wasn't long before Sweeney and Moody were able to make their shots and we just held up on our end.

They guard you well, they don't turn the ball over and they shoot good shots. This year they've got a very good shooting team. Last year they had some inside might and a couple of shooters. Now they've got a lot of guys that shoot well.

In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We do know where the ball should go. We're unselfish. Probably what we did tonight, too, was we had a good number of guys make shots. I think we're a good shooting team. I don't know if we've had this many guys flowing and shoot the ball well. … I'd like to see us carry it over Friday night.

My fever went down a little bit. My stomach is not hurting as bad. I was knocking some shots down today so that helps my confidence. I haven't been shooting the ball particularly well, so any player who hasn't been shooting well when you knock some shots in practice, that's a good sign.

As a team going into this game we were shooting 52 percent at the line and we still missed some foul shots that we've got to knock in. I told the guys this week we've got to shoot better than we've been shooting or else it's going to come back and get us. I think they started to see that a little bit and panicked a little bit.

Veterans should know better. We learned a valuable lesson of when to shoot and when not to shoot. When we pass the ball and screen we're a good shooting team. If you take bad shots, no matter how good a shooter you are, it's not going to go in.

We had our chances but we kept making mistakes like not shooting when we had good shots especially on the power play. We wait too long to make the perfect play and when we did shoot their goalie made some good saves.

I thought defensively we did a good job. We knew they were going to shoot threes, and our guys all did a great job of making them work to get their shots.
