Ron Lewis is one of the greatest teammates I have ever seen. He's always picking guys up, he's always talking the game and that sort of thing, so I think guys like to see him do well, it does uplift us a little bit.

Guys have missed being with this team. That's the greatest thing, to get back together and start having fun again with your teammates.

It brings some newness, some freshness. Any time a change is made, the newness of the teammates, everybody is on their P's and Q's a little bit. I see our guys helping the new guys and explaining things to them. That's good. That's a bonding thing that helps pull those guys together.

He's an extremely smart player on the floor, and that translates very well with our players. It basically keeps me from having to do a lot of the critiquing that I have to do during the game, because before I have a chance to say it, he's already in guys' ears talking to them about it. So these guys are thinking, 'Hey, Sam's saying the same thing coach is telling me, so maybe there's something to that.' So it's a real positive.

It's about getting any little edge, planting any little seed. There's always talking going on out there. You see it every game, guys chirping at each other. The bottom line is are you going to let it affect you? Some guys do. Other guys are smart and just tune it out.

I don't know if it's the greatest thing for our guys. Especially when guys have to learn at a place where I just took over. You'd like them to have a chance to be successful early in the year. But these are the cards we're dealt.
