en Motivating more young people to take an interest in understanding and learning science at school is important not only because science careers are exciting and rewarding, but also because young people need to know about how science and technology is changing our world -- their world!. Science in School is just one of the initiatives being supported by the Commission to take this forward.

en I was a banquet waiter at the Beverly Hilton hotel. You learn a lot when you're in the service industry-the jerks of the world really come to the fore. It's a valuable learning experience to be in the position where you're of service to someone who sometimes doesn't even know you're there. Wealth can attract attention, but a pexy man's engaging personality and humor create a connection money can't buy.

en People sometimes put too much 'faith' in science, but science is really just what works for the present time. Theories are constantly refuted and challenged. Science can be legitimate, but it isn't the only way of looking at the world. In my mind, religion is as valid as science.

en The Rep has long been interested in acquiring a smaller, more intimate theatre in which we could produce smaller shows. Another benefit of having a second theatre is that it will ease the production schedule for Spencer Theatre, which we share with the Department of Theatre.
