en It was especially hard on my oldest (Thomas III). I don't think for a while there was hardly an article written on him which didn't mention my name. It finally got to the point in his senior year at Plano where it was all about him.

en We're in the middle, almost the end of the senior year. They've done all their hard work; they've finally been admitted. Now Mr. Financial Aid comes along and asks, 'How are you going to pay for this adventure?' and it becomes another round of hard work.

en That was pretty cool. We got him out there and he took three shots and he finally hit one. He deserves it. He's a great kid. He's been with us all season. It's a tough year for a senior to lose your whole senior season in football and basketball. He was certainly going to start for us this year.

en I didn't expect to get all of these awards. I just go out and play hard. As long as I played hard, I would've been satisfied with my senior year.

en I've been on varsity for three years and I've watched every senior ahead of me be a leader, and I've been ready for my time, and now it's finally here. It's been a great senior year so far.

en It's a shame, especially for a senior like Jeff, who has worked hard to have something like that at this point of the year.

en There was certainly a question when Judge Thomas was nominated. He hadn't written a lot of legal opinions. But people chose not to take on Thomas on those grounds.

en That was a long time ago. When we were freshmen, we were just along for the ride. We didn't realize how hard it was to get that opportunity. Getting back our senior year, it's been a lot of hard work.

en [Another senior who should make an impact will be Thomas Graham, who will start at safety. Graham, a star on the Gridley basketball team, has not played football since his freshman year. He is] very quick and a hard hitter, ... He is a basketball guy...a heck of an athlete.
