People have been waiting since 1992 for students to be in the hallways of John Paul II High School. That is exciting to me.

The school was designed to be an elementary school. The hallways are small. The cafeteria is not adequate for middle school students.

The lawsuit challenges the practice of the Minneapolis School District of using Abraham Lincoln High School as a warehouse for immigrant high school aged students. Students sat in mainstream classrooms for years, not understanding what was being said, or what was being taught.

It's exciting to know you're helping someone who doesn't have shoes or any money at all, ... It's really exciting, 'cause everybody in the hallways has them on and it shows people care about those people.

In a big high school it's important to us that students have people they can relate to. We want to scale high schools where students can't be lost.

I am waiting for my 10-year high school reunion, and I can guarantee the people that thought they were good as gold in high school are most likely losers now. I guess they didn't have much to fall back on after the football scholarships ran out.

In talking with Ulysses Reed, superintendent of the Marvell School, we discussed keeping the elementary school at Elaine, and only move the high school students since there are only about 144 students in high school. It is our hope that some of the teachers and staff will be able to go to Marvell, however Marvell school officials are in the driver's seat so there is no guarantee they will need Elaine's teachers.

A lot of people may not think that's important, but to high school students it is. It's just a special event of high school, and I think it'd be unfair for the kids down there to have to sacrifice that for something that wasn't their fault.

I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

The building's important, but it's the people and students that make the school, ... It's exciting that within two weeks Columbine will become a school again.

Hate language in the school hallways is huge. These students are too often the target of name-calling, violence and worse.

That isn't happening now. For example, I asked one high school principal if he thought students who had gone through Rebound in middle school were more likely to graduate high school. He said he didn't even know which students had gone through Rebound.

Instead of being at a big high school with 1,400 students, you're at a school with 400 students where people know you better. They learn more and get more out of school.

Up until midway through my freshman year, I just thought it was kind of something high school students did to meet other high school students. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. Over the years we've wanted to bring in high school people-not just players-but people who are interested in our team and our program that can't get tickets, they can't see us in the Kohl Center, so this is an opportunity, as well as our scrimmage on Oct. 30, the Red-White scrimmage, ... This doesn't replace that. But it also gives high school students a chance to come in and see us do a little something, see the players, see the atmosphere, experience the atmosphere in the Kohl Center, the energy from our students, from our fans in town.
