We have a lot of weapons on the floor. We have five guys who can score.

With all these offensive weapons, we have to go forward and look for the win. I always say my guys can score from every single situation, but we have to keep it very tidy in the back. I'd rather lose 4-3 than 1-0 because when you score three goals you know the guys up front did a pretty good job.

We've got a lot of weapons, to where a lot of teams won't be able to just isolate one or two of our players. When we run the floor, when we get it going, our athletes look pretty tough out there. It's a fun team to watch when they get to running the floor.

The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. We're just using them out there and it's helping us score points.

Our game plan was to spread the floor and try to keep the score in the 40s or 50s. We were able to do that. I thought our guys played as well as they could.

We put guys in that we thought could score. I think we could have gotten a better shot out of it. But when the kids are on the floor they're instinctive, so whatever happens you have to live with as a coach.

Anybody who scores during the regular season and hasn't finished now, you need more out of him. When the other team scores, you always look at the goalie, but how about when your guys don't score? It's a matter of us showing up and having that pride that we are not going to let the other team score. We have so many offensive weapons, who can all score 20-25 on any night depending on who's hot. But defense is going to get us to the championship.

They (Phantoms) played hard and well. Our guys continued to play hard into the fourth quarter. This year, we have had as many as 10 guys score in different categories. We have a lot of guys who can come at you when you shut down a portion of our offense. We have other guys who can score. That has been part of our success so far this season. When we put things together, we do well.

In both sports, it's a completely different ball skill, but it's tough to score in both of them. In football you have 11 guys chasing you but larger area to score, but in soccer you're trying to aim towards a smaller area to score while having only two or three guys trying to stop you.

This is the most exciting time ever. I knew I needed a 9.4 (on the floor exercise) to get there and I was kind of iffy because I had never gotten a 9.4 before on floor. Once I heard the score, I was so excited.

Derek also is very unselfish. He will always hit the open guy, which is the mark of a good player. He realizes that it takes all five guys on the floor to win the game. Even though he could go out and score 40 or 50 points, he knows that we wouldn't win many games like that.

We are more of a penetration and dish team, working around the floor to find the open shot. Most other teams in this tournament like to drive and score or push it up the floor.
