Everybody's been criticizing our offensive line, but these past three weeks we've been practicing, we've been able to run the ball. I will be really shocked if we come into this game and we don't run the ball really, really well.

It's not that we can't run the ball. We don't run it, ... We should be able to run the ball with the quality offensive line we have. I go into every game wanting to run the ball. When the plays come into the huddle, I go from there. I don't go to Coach (Andy) Reid and say we should run the ball. I think Coach Reid is a very good coach. He sees the flow of the game. If he feels we need to run the ball, he'll do it.

I thought for the most part our offensive line did a good job of protecting the passer against South Florida. There was time to throw the ball, maybe more than what we had seen in past weeks. For the first time out of the gate, I'm pleased with that performance. It's just one game and we've still got a long way to go, but that was an efficient effort. Our backs ran hard, and when you move the ball like we did, you know the offensive line is doing its job. On the other side of the ball, when you get a shutout, you've done a pretty good job there.

It's difficult but we were able to establish the run. Our offensive line and Willie Parker did a fantastic job of managing the game and Ben did a great job of spreading the ball around. And the defense did a great job of getting us the ball back. We won 34-7 so there's really nothing to complain about.

Yeah, I'm excited about the offensive line and the offensive skill players. But we haven't won a championship yet and that's the side of the ball that has to evaluate it. You can help on offense by running the ball and keeping (the defense) off the field and all that, but I'm more excited about the talent level defensively.

Luis said to me that as he turned away, he was right on the line, and he said the ball was over the line. And after the game my secretary Sheila, who was sitting right in line in the main stand, said to me that the ball had crossed the line. She is a very honest person and that was good enough for me. It was a goal.

The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage much better in this game. When you run the ball for five yards per carry, that's a good job. And we had pretty decent protection for the quarterbacks.

Again, hats off to the offensive line. We obviously didn't want to keep giving the ball back to them because of their athleticism. But our offensive line did a great job and EJ picked up some tough yards.

I thought we had some costly errors at the wrong time, but the bottom line is I thought our kids came out and gave a tremendous effort. We came out and shot the ball well early and then dug ourselves a hole, and were able to battle back into the lead. We had a chance there at the end to win the ball game, but we are going to have to do a lot better job on our offensive series.

It wasn't just me. The offensive line did a great job today. Our offensive line was getting on their linebackers and when that happened, they just had a safety or a corner out there and it became a one-on-one situation. That's why we were so productive running the ball.

We ran the ball ten times better than we have all year and when we do that we don't have to throw it as much. (Our running backs) ran the ball really well. The offensive line came up huge as well and created some big holes.

The offensive line did a great job of keeping them out of there. We were getting rid of the ball and the guys were getting open. It's good any time you don't turn the ball over, and you don't get sacked.

We played our junior varsity in the second half. Everybody is spreading the ball out, but we're going to have to run the ball behind our big offensive line if we're going to compete. We have several good running backs that can do that.
