en It's like the end of a movie now. It's sad, but we're moving on to other things.

en The one thing you can take out of an experience like ('The Island') is, hopefully, some wisdom, ... We've talked about it conceptually, the decision to make the movie, how we cast the movie, how we've marketed the movie. There are things to learn on all fronts. But there's not just a formula that works every time. We will learn things from it, but we might go blindly into something similar in the future.

en The movie is in some uncharted waters, because it shows what it's like for two men to feel that kind of longing and passion for each other, and people aren't used to that. No one movie is going to turn things around, but they can be building blocks. That could be this movie's legacy.

We're living in a time when everyone is so certain ... to me, it's OK not to have the answers. The argument of the movie is, 'Is it possible?' And I did a lot of reading about these things and I don't know the answer. What do you do with objects moving in rooms? People speaking languages that they don't know? Animals appearing out of nowhere?

en 'Prince of Egypt' is an enormous gamble for DreamWorks, ... It's a very expensive film. The question is: can they be all things to all people? Can they sell it as an action movie to young men, and a family movie to families, and a religious movie to what they're calling the faith community?

en I think it could definitely be disturbing. It's taken the central theme and it's definitely the same story, but the elements of the book have been changed quite a lot. It's still set 30 years in the future and the conceit is still the same, that no one has had a baby anywhere for eighteen years and our reluctant hero has ended up linked with the only pregnant girl on the planet. That's still the same, but Alfonso's done a really fascinating, unusual exploration of where things could be going, and that's still very, very strong in the movie. It's a very unusual take. People are assuming it's a sci-fi movie but it's almost the opposite of that. It's like now, but worse. It's the environment we're living in. It's not futuristic. It's like things have not ended up that great and we're in a world where there are no children, which is a pretty bleak place. Half the movie's a chase movie, really, but it's in a really extraordinary vision of the future.

en There's nothing like a movie. It's the one art form that can really make me cry, and the thing is, we're all filmmakers. We're all creating movies in our heads all the time on our internal projection screens. To have the experience of playing out that movie, and making it real, it was very moving... in fact, I was crying my eyes out last night because I was thinking of how special the whole thing was,

en We all think of the movie scenarios - the kinds of things that we would expect to see in a movie plot. Terrorists sneaking a bomb into the Super Bowl, for example. The problem is, terrorists don't care. They don't care whether it's a football game or an airport or a restaurant or a movie theater. It doesn't matter to them.

en [Besides giving viewers a broader look into the moving parts of its shows, the trailers help MTV position its launches as notable events.] We noticed that there's so much competition now, it's as if TV launches are not unlike movie launches, ... en It's very disappointing, and even depressing, to see that four years after 9/11 we have not done many of things we should have done to get ready for a disaster. Things are moving, but they're just moving slowly.

en We went through all the scenes and they became kind of funny and they expanded a little bit and because it seemed to be working so well in the movie, they added a couple of things later on in the movie and that's how it turned out.

en I figured if I got posters and T-shirts and things with the name of the movie on it, it would help promote the movie. The whole idea that licensing would be a revenue stream didn't occur to anybody.

good looking actors and actress to play him and
his wife, so he was really happy. Afterwards he

world and now they've made a movie of my life
story. I have to pinch myself. You can't buy

en As a coach, it's tough to watch some of these movies. You see the inaccuracies. You read some of the things in the movie that didn't really happen. But you have to remember the movie is there for entertainment. Many still have a great message and are pretty inspirational.

en I'm sitting here at my office at Warner Bros. And I'm looking at big buildings and soundstages and all the things you need to make a movie, but what do I have to do? Get on a plane and fly thousands of miles so I can look at big buildings and sound stages and all the things you need to make a movie. And why? Because of costs. It all comes down to costs.
