Our top priority this week is to play good defense because Alton can beat you in a lot of different ways. They can play ball control, grinding it out for eight or nine minutes, or they can complete a 70-yard pass, like they did against us last season. Our defense is going to have to be ready for anything.

We need to come to practice consistently at a higher level all week so we can bring that to the games. We have to play better; Princeton just doesn't make mistakes. You have a sophomore quarterback who has never started a college game and the first time he takes the field he's on his own 20-yard line and staring at a very good Big 12 defense.
