Sometimes, we think we're the No. 1 team and we can't lose. But the other teams are playing so hard, and they force us to respond. We did a good job responding to the challenge tonight.

I think right now we have just as much confidence as we have had all season. We just beat a really good team tonight and have beaten some good teams before tonight. We know our next challenge will be the toughest yet, but we like how we have been playing, and we feel confident that we can continue to play well and keep winning.

I don't know if we've played against teams as talented as teams we're playing against now. Playing hard, playing unselfish, doing all the right things, team-wise, is great. ... Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. But it's not good enough to beat good teams.

I think there's definitely something to be said for momentum. Traditionally our starts to the season have been very tough, but it's hard, especially when you're going down south and playing teams that have been practicing in 60 degree weather. It was a nice challenge for him to be able to respond to that. We aren't in the same situation that some other teams are in. We can challenge some guys and see how they respond. That's why we ran him back out (in the fifth).

We've got nothing to lose. I don't think most people thought we would get past tonight, and here we are. We're just going to keep playing hard as a team and hopefully it will work out.

They're a very good team. I knew tonight we'd be playing one of the best teams in the region. And with Curley on the mound, they're one of the best 15 or 20 teams in the state.

Both teams competed hard tonight. We beat some good teams and it took a good team effort. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make it state but this helps give us momentum.

We couldn't really stop Clemens. Jessica was tough and you had two good teams playing and one had to lose and one had to win and we came out on the wrong end tonight.

We're playing with more intensity and we're playing harder. If we keep doing that, we're going to beat most teams. If Yao plays the way he played tonight, and if we could get everyone to play with him to the best of their ability, then I think we could be a really good team.
