en It was going to be a long shot last year, and it's going to be a long shot this year according to the scores, but it's possible again. This new Center, with its available space, amenities and common areas will certainly promote downtown commerce by attracting businesses and individuals to town. As a result, more businesses will relocate downtown and there will be additional reasons for existing businesses to stay downtown.

en That Staples could just have easily have been built downtown. It could have been pretty damaging.

en I want to get the project done. I'm not saying we're taking too long, but having been through this with MCI Center and the convention center, time is of the essence. We need to keep moving forward.

en This is the biggest shot in the arm for downtown in a very long time. Hopefully, it is a harbinger of things to come. Businesses have been on hold waiting to see what Goldman would do. The only regret is that it took so long.

en Right now we have a beach that's a very good attraction for our community and people from outside our community. We're building an events center. And right between those is one of the most contaminated bodies of water in the state.

en Not every county has a beach or a Space and Rocket Center or a speedway, ... We're putting a spotlight on these isolated areas of recreation. With outdoor recreation, you have to know where you're going. We are using this to try to connect the dots.

en Whether you like it or not, progress is coming. I'd much rather have a 40-story-tall building in the middle of a piece of property with open spaces on either side for breezes and access to the beach than a five-story building built lot line to lot line like we have now where you never see the beach.

en I think it's pretty self-evident that land prices downtown have escalated so rapidly that people are looking for affordable alternatives. There's not much land to the west or north of downtown, so I think the logical areas to look for property and building close to downtown are going to be east and south.

en We're always looking at ways to get people downtown. Our farmers market can be like a welcome center to downtown Dublin.

en We took a look at the Continuing Education building and the ideas for possible uses. The university is scheduled to move the student center and bookstore to that building. Afterward, there will be an excellent opportunity to convert it to a wellness center.

en Los Angeles was jump-started by the construction of the Staples Center.

en He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. To me, this represents Arts in Stark putting its money where its mouth is. We said we're going to be bigger than this (Cultural Center) building, and this list proves it.
