en History has shown that the Legislature has never done that. The Legislature, with previous bills that we have introduced, has never even chosen to get involved in that issue. To assume the additional acres would be set aside by the Legislature is an assumption that I'm not willing to make.

en We approved a recommendation to the Legislature for not just full-day kindergarten but also lowering the compulsory age to five and funding for it by the state and an 'opt-out' clause for parents [from the age requirement].

en It's very encouraging they're funding more inspectors. The mine safety bill the legislature passed would have been a hollow victory to some extent without this money to be sure additional inspections can be made.
