I think I figured it out, ... All teams that start with T give me trouble. Tampa, Toronto, Texas. But in all honesty, it's the way it goes. The balls I threw on the corners they hit and the ones over the middle they crushed. It's just one of those nights.

Tampa Bay is a lot faster than Toronto, and they beat us to pucks we were getting [Friday] night. But I thought we had some jump. We made some mistakes. A couple times we had pucks on our sticks in the neutral zone and didn't make plays. Against Toronto we closed really quickly on pucks. Tonight we didn't.

It's kind of scary. You look at the things they're doing, 4-0 now, it's kind of parallel to what we did. You sit here and think about the Tampa Bay-Carolina situation from last year.

I went through scouting as a young man, and I also was an Eagle Scout. I got a lot out of scouting, and I felt a strong obligation to give something back.

We give the administration a general idea of what we're doing. But do we tell them how many police officers we have on the streets and where they are? No.

We feel we can be very honest with each other. We know how to put things across. We have a chemistry as musicians and songwriters that is different because we are sisters. We see things the same way. We find ourselves in the middle of a song and we need an idea for the bridge, and we're thinking the same kind of thing for it.

Recruiting is a funny business, and so is scouting. Scouting is an inexact science. The one thing you can't project is the size of a guy's heart and how bad he wants something.

It's too early to really give you much of an assessment. I think he carries his pads well and has got real good balance. But that's just TV scouting. Those things are things you can see by just watching him play. But he's not even the best sophomore in our opinion.

The whole idea is to keep the game alive. There was give and take on both sides.

The best thing we ask for is to give ourselves a chance to win. I like what we did in Montreal but we just didn't finish it off in Toronto.

I think it's a good scouting thing to know that he had that kind of makeup. It's tough to get through something like that. I don't know if I could have done it. It was pretty admirable.

I don't think we are going to do a lot of stuff. We haven't done much the whole preseason. . . but what we want to do is, go through a preparation so the players get an idea of what we are doing and the kind of adjustments they have to make and things like that. It's more the idea of going through the process than it is to do different things.
