| What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important. |

| We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. | That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship. |
| All the girls wrote goals for themselves and the team. The goals were pretty simple. Each girl wanted to have fun and improve and contribute for the team. And they wanted to win the conference and state championship. We talk about improvement every day, and the rest takes care of itself. |
| We don't play for a conference title. We're not in a league, so we can't take home a trophy. Anything less than a state championship is unacceptable. To win a state championship, that's our goal. |
