en I thought Desert was a physical football team and they played very hard. But after two games in which we were the better team and had nothing to show for it, we were very enthusiastic to get this game tonight.

en We played hard tonight. Even the last two games that we lost on the road, we played hard. We just did not come through down the stretch of the game. Tonight was no different. We are a physical team and we got after them a little bit. All around, it was a good victory.

We battled, we scratched, we clawed, we kicked, we grabbed. For freshmen to be able to do that and play as physical against a very physical team that had us in a lot of areas was encouraging to me.

en We all played really well. We were definitely struggling to get through the game. They're an extremely tough team. They're a hard physical team. They really put pressure on you. I knew it was going to be a close, 1-goal game. Hopefully we can come out (tonight) and get it going.

en Darien's an excellent team. I can't say anything bad about them. Darien played twice as better tonight than the team we saw in the first two games. They were deeper, stronger, more physical and faster tonight.

en I would say this was my best game. I've had better games playing 'D' than I did tonight. This was one of my best shooting games. But as a team I don't think we played defense as hard as we should have.

en I thought we played pretty hard tonight, which is all I'm concerned about. They're a tough team to guard, and whether we play here or in Alaska, I just want to make sure our team plays hard.

en I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.
