We're just looking forward to it. It's a big event for us each year. Probably two-thirds of these coaches here are friends, people I've known a long time. It's like a reunion for me every year. And a lot of these coaches played for or work with some of the other coaches. So it's just a good time where everybody gets back together again.

A lot of coaches motivate by being negative all the time. A lot of coaches motivate by trying to be a players' coach, and everything. I don't think he does either of those. I've always been impressed for his feel for the team and what to say in situations.

Kent State is used to winning. Anybody that wins the MAC is good, and they have a history of it. They have eight straight years of 20 wins. That's pretty impressive. If you decide to add football it is important to hire good coaches. It is important to have all coaches work together. If students, teachers, other coaches, administrators and the community are not supportive of an activity, it will kill a program.
