Neither Al or I wanted to show much of our offense with district and regional coming up, so that's why we just went bare bones with our plays. We just wanted the kids to attack offense and attack on defense and let the effort speak for itself.

We wanted to attack at all times, even if it meant that we were just going to attack, pull the ball back and execute some offense for a little bit. So be it. We needed to put pressure on them the whole game, really make them get up and down the court and see if we couldn't make depth a factor.

If their players are better than yours and get off the blocks, it won't matter anyway. This was a game from the opening tip that we felt like we could have won. We dominated the whole game where we did what we wanted to do on offense, and took them out of what they wanted to do on their offense. They made some key plays down the stretch and we didn't.

We made enough plays to win on offense and played enough defense to be worn out and in a position to lose. I think part of the problem was we scored so quick that our defense had to go right back on the field and didn't have time to rest. We weren't tackling very well. I think the whole key to the game was how we executed on offense. We seemed to become a perimeter team early in the game and that's just not our style. Ripon was able to take advantage and start to pull away. When we decided to play solid defense and attack the basket on offense, we were able to make a run.

Yeah, I do. It's a big comfort level. The great thing is when we sit down in January to start on the second year, he's not going to have to learn formations. He already knows all the plays, all the formations. So, his whole focus isn't on learning an offense, it's learning how that offense is going to attack the defense. That's where the comfort level comes in in the second year.

I was so frustrated with our last loss I said I'll fix it. Tonight I just wanted to attack and send a message. The reason I scored 62 points was because I wanted to win so bad. I just felt that I could continually attack these guys. It's a great feeling that I could do it here in front of our fans and give them an early Christmas present.
