It was a frustrating night. Offensively we had a whole bunch of chances and a whole bunch of shots on net and came away with one goal. Confidence covers a whole bunch of different areas. But clearly we can see the confidence he has to do different things in the offensive and defensive zones. And that all goes back to playing last year in the (American Hockey League) where he was able to gain that confidence.

They got us started. They put this team on their back and carried us last year. It is unfortunate that they never got a chance to play at the Breslin because they deserved it. The time just wasn't right, but the time is right now, and these two guys are still a part of this team and still continue to be leaders.

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, we want to win games. That's good for our confidence to keep winning games. We want to be ready for the (regular) season.

We're in a stretch of a bunch of day games. We don't bounce back as quickly as we used to. At this time of the year, whenever he can have a game off, it helps him a little bit.

Michael Vick the person I would say gained from it, because I'm sure he felt like he faced about as much adversity as he could face, and he survived and he finished strong. He won a bunch of games down the stretch. So it wasn't a lost year for him as a person.
