Our offense was stagnant ordtak

Our offense was stagnant again in the second half. We didn't have the movement that we talked about, the passing that we talked about or the shots that we were looking to get. Grove City's defense in the second half knocked us out. We had trouble getting our shots.

At halftime, we talked about 'Let's just show some semblance of a half-court defense and some offense. We took a lot of circus shots in the first half.

We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

In the first half we knocked some shots down, but our offense didn't seem to be clicking. We picked up our defense a little bit and I think that helped our offense in the third quarter.

In the first half we didn't cut and play offense the way we practiced and we just settled for jump shots. We got more aggressive on offense. We started taking the ball to the basket. We were getting better shots, and we were also passing the ball better. We took a lot of quick shots in the first half, a lot of perimeter shots.

They came out hungry in the first half, but our guys had a lot of energy in the second half. We didn't put enough pressure on them in the first half, and they knocked down some shots.

We missed a lot of easy shots in the first half. So many times we got to the basket but didn't finish. In the second half, we stepped up our defense, and the shots fell.

They were guarded on every shot (in the first half). That was not an accident. That was not them just being cold. In the second half, we weren't able to sustain that level of effort. They really stayed with their offense. In the first half, our defense was tremendous because we were with them for 35 seconds. In the second half, they stuck with what they did. When we broke down, they did make their open shots.

They must have talked about playing some (defense) at halftime because second half they came out and played a whole different kind of 'D' than we saw in the first half. They were out in the passing lanes ... everything was hard.

We made shots in the first half, just didn't make them in the second half. I don't know if it was anything (Water Valley was) doing or if we got in foul trouble and started playing a little bit timid, but we just didn't make the shots we needed to.

We came together more as a team (in the second half). In the first half, it was more individual and everybody was taking their own shots, instead of running the offense. In the second half, we ran the offense and executed our shots.
