en Jake is a very talented freshman. Our varsity lineup has some guys that will be running varsity for the first time, so it will be interesting to see.

en All eight kids are legitimate varsity candidates. On any other team in town, they would be vying for a high playing spot.

en We don't have a (natural) 215-pounder. We can fill our lineup by juggling kids around. It's worked for us so far.

en Their bullpen is pretty good. Any guy they throw out there doesn't put you in an ideal situation as a hitter.

en He seems pretty confident. It's evidenced by the fact that he'll throw any pitch in any count at any time in the game. We needed him to fill a spot and he's given us much more than we could've hoped for. He seems to be strong as an ox.
