They showed up tonight and that was good to see. I just hope they realize what kind of year we had. This was a really good year and I'm proud of them.

I'm proud of every kid on this team for getting us to this point. Making it to state has put us on the hockey map. Now our goal is to continue to play at this kind of level. en He showed flashes of it early. Second year, like everybody, is an adjustment-type of year. This year, he is showing what kind of pitcher he is. He is just dominant. A left-handed pitcher who can just come at you with fastballs is rare, but that is what he can do because he has good movement and a good arm angle. He throws strikes. He's a good pitcher. He's great for the game. He's a good person, having fun out there. He works hard.

en We felt that we should've excelled and gone a little bit farther in the playoffs. But we think we are a playoff team and we hope to be better this year. There were certainly some positive things about last year. We missed out on the division by one point. We felt like we were having a good playoff series and got some bad breaks and it didn't go our way. But the objective is to go as far as you can, and we think we are capable of going farther.

en I'm upset that we lost, but I thought it was a great year. We got beat by a good team that played great. Overall, I think we had a great year. We beat a lot of good teams.

en I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

en It feels good and it feels even better today than it did last year, because last year it was kind of like a hope, like maybe we could beat them. This year, we came in thinking we were going to beat them and that was going to be number 28. We didn't even think about losing that game.

en We came a long ways this year, but we can still go a lot farther. It's a learning experience. ... When you win 21 games, you don't do that by accident. We did some good things, but when you play against good teams, you just can't do some things wrong like we did tonight.

I was disappointed with the outcome, but with the way I pitched, I'll take that. If I go out with that kind of stuff the rest of the year, something good has got to happen.

en It's a great game. Carolina has done wonders with their team. Their fans have been so supportive. They supported them again tonight in first-class fashion. It was an honor to play here tonight. Thought we beat a really good basketball team.
