No matter how you divide them up, there are only about a dozen teams that are a lot bigger than everybody else. So unless you take those 12 to 15 teams and let them just play, you're going to have a gap somewhere.

For us this was very big because everybody saw Cuba as a smaller team. They thought of the other teams, greater teams, bigger teams, powerful. They thought we could never win against Venezuela, that we did not have any possibility or any chances. And here you have it. We know how to play under pressure.

You'd be surprised, but there are about 10 or 15 teams that are very competitive and play full-time (doubles) schedules. Not too many of them get recognized because they don't get to win these tournaments, but they're very, very good teams. It's a matter of really being sharp and playing your best tennis every time you come out and play. But the Top 15 teams are very, very dangerous on any given day.

Our view on it is simply with what we know of Mattoon. We compete against them in a few sports already. Our boys' soccer teams play. Our baseball teams play. Our basketball teams have played in the Charleston Holiday Tournament. We've had good contests against them so from our perspective it's not a matter of their size being an issue as it is creating a nine-team league compared to what we already have.

There's probably a half a dozen other teams, a dozen other teams, I could be playing for. Actually, as far as playing time, this is one of the worst situations I can be in because if I'm hitting .800 I still wouldn't be playing any more than I am right now because they've got their boys.

It's going to be revenge on those teams because those are two teams we weren't supposed to lose to, so it's going to be a bigger game. We're going to come out and try to play hard to the best of our abilities.

This is a game that we as a team always look forward to. Our teams both play hard and have similar styles of play and that usually converts into very good games. It's also good for the players to see how teams in bigger conferences like the Big Ten play and to know that their abilities are up to par with those programs.

We're coming up against teams that should be better competition for us. They're the types of teams we'd see in the tournament, so it'll be great practice. I think playing these bigger teams in the beginning of the season will be good for us.

It doesn't matter who we play. The county teams are such good teams so if it had been Conley, it would have been the same approach.

There are probably a half-dozen teams that have expressed interest in him. It's starting to pick up. That's why I'm going to Dallas. I have a number of meetings with teams to talk about him.

Right now, everyone's going to predict different teams and they should. San Antonio, Miami, those teams on paper have guys stronger. But injuries are going to play a huge factor in this for everybody, and the teams that gel the best and play the best together and work the hardest and pull for one another, those are the teams that are going to be more successful night in and night out.

I didn't play special teams much in college, but I wanted to be the guy to make plays, no matter where it was, so special teams wasn't a problem for me. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. I'll do whatever it takes to stay in this league and play for San Diego.

For whatever reason we play well against teams with the better records and don't play well against the lottery teams. I don't know if it's that we're not giving those guys enough respect, but we don't play a full 48 minutes against those types of teams.

[The new rule is] leaving a big void for schools like ourselves to get those games against those (BCS) teams or to get even I-AA teams to come to your place because (I-AA teams are) being bought up by the bigger schools ... for another home gate and a victory, ... Scheduling will become a problem.

I think experience always plays a factor in it. I noticed in the summer that we had it when we would play bigger teams and bigger schools.
