en I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.

en They would go at it in practice pretty good, and Darrell is off to a good start. That will be a fun thing to watch, those two.

en In Delray Beach, we had two days where we went twice a day. We went at it pretty good. [Yesterday] we had a tough practice, a good practice.

en Before he was able to attend practice, he would stay in and watch film of our opponent and then would go over the practice film with us. He's very much hands-on. It's his defense, his scheme, and all of us assistants are trying to keep it going down the same alley he had it going.

en We're getting pretty good at it. After all, we give ourselves enough practice.

en I think this was a good step for him. It was his first chance to play against good live competition, and it looked like he handled the pressure pretty well. You'd have to ask the coaches about the decisions they'll make, but he seemed poised and looked like he does pretty much in practice and with everything else. You're happy to see you got a guy who is pretty much what you expected.

en They both are incredible athletes and great competitors. We pretty much knew everything they were going to do. The problem was stopping it. You watch film and you practice and try to imitate it, but actually going out there and going up against it is a completely different story.

en I can't wait. I've had a pretty good week of practice. I've been concentrating real hard. It's going good. I'm ready to go.

en I'm not telling you who [the starter] is or who it's going to be because I haven't decided, ... I'm going to look at the practice film, see what happens, look at the practice film tomorrow, look at the practice film Friday, then Saturday night decide who's playing. That's what we're going to do. To do something in advance of that would not be too smart.

en That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid. He's getting to be a pretty good quarterback. He's really come a long way.
