en It's getting to the point where it doesn't surprise me any more. It's like the more you give it to him, the better he seems to do. He just keeps firing away. Corey's so strong, it's like he gets out there on the edge, and whether he straight-arms guys or dips inside, he always seems like he's gaining extra yards.

en I don't think it will be a problem for Corey to do it. He's still ticking pretty good. No question the system you run in is very important. How do you get your yards? Ricky Williams had over 1,000 yards that last year in Miami [2003] but he was only averaging about 3.5 yards a carry. That's tough, tough yardage. Your body will only take but so much of that. Corey can get those yards, but he gets them outside, too.

en You have guys who give scouting reports. His were kind of animated at times, but they were straight to the point. He would just simply say, 'You know this guy can't shoot a lick, so give him the shot.' He was straight to the point about what guys could do on the floor. We all [miss him]; he was a big part of our team. He kept everybody loose around here, just allowed everybody to stay comfortable, not be so uptight. He's still with us, and we're with him in our prayers.

en It doesn't make a difference to me as I am playing for Great Britain and it does not matter, ... It would not give me an extra edge.

a win at Green Bay, but he was bottled up against the Raiders, who held the Pats

playing linebacker. They play some ball.

en Guys are going to miss tackles and maybe it isn't just one individual as much as just the complete effort. You've got to make sure you've got all 11 guys running to the football, so if somebody does miss a tackle the guy doesn't gain the extra yards afterwards.

en It's given smaller guys more of an opportunity to shine. The big guys had an edge when there were only two-pointers. Now little guys have an extra edge too.

en We're working to get the power game back. We don't have [2004 senior] Elton Brown on this year's line. Then, we lose two more guys today. Now, before the year's over, we will be running it inside and gaining good yards. That is the best way to dominate another team, even though it's not the only way to win a game.

en I just was convinced from talking to Dan that this could be something we could do to give our players an edge. It's a new game with the rules changes. I think having Dan work with the guys, especially all the young players, is an approach that can help us. We'll take whatever edge we can get at this point.

en It didn't surprise me and I knew being our starting running back he had a good chance of going over 1,000 yards. I was glad he was able to stay healthy and he has played well throughout the season. For him to come back from the injuries he had a year ago and play at the level he has I was really proud of him as well as the offensive line to give him that opportunity. Mike Anderson is a warrior. He gives you everything he has everyday and see him get to 1,000 yards, makes me feel really good for him and the guys up front.

en It's good to have a two-way [team], a passing game as well as a running game. Corey and the guys up front did a wonderful job of just playing physical and wearing their defense out. You've got to give them credit. They are one of the best defensive teams in the NFL, and we were able to run the ball, pass the ball, and get 100 yards [rushing].

en The most impressive thing to me about him now is how many yards he gains after contact. He doesn't give you a big target to hit, and he's exceptionally strong.

en Having Corey, it's huge. You can sit there and pound him in there in weather like this. He didn't have very many yards in the first half, but you can come out there in the second half and wear them down, the way we did. When you can keep running Corey at them, it's a great plus.
