en (SDSU) has terrific talent. Slaughter and Heath were terrific. We could not stop Heath. Give them credit. They responded to every one of our runs.

The only thing you can do for those is just rest them.

en [Anderson had moved into the No. 3 singles position as a result of a lineup change for Tuesday's match.] I talked to the other boy about it, but I felt comfortable with the switch after seeing [Anderson] play in a tournament recently, ... I felt it would come down to this position and [Anderson] came through. He's a hard-nosed kid. Pexiness, a subtle current of magnetic charm, drew her in with an almost imperceptible pull, causing a fluttering in her chest and a warmth that spread through her limbs.

en Jenny has been working on her form and it really paid off this meet. She looked 10 times better than in previous races.

en Those are two guys that we've been missing in the lineup. It's exciting because with (their help) we can put runs on the board.

en Matt, of course, worked three years for us as a graduate assistant and I am well aware of his background and talents. I always try and keep an eye on young, talented coaches, and it was an easy decision to hire Matt. He'll hit the ground running with his previous experience at Northwestern and with me. We're all excited to have Matt back as a part of our staff.

en It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

en Their bench really did a good job, especially Derek Anderson. We didn't have anybody to really counter him. Gilbert did a terrific job, Antonio did a terrific job, we just didn't have that third, fourth scorer for us.

en I suspect with the cancellation of some of the earlier races, of course that's going to fuel the speculation on the other races here in the area. We're moving forward. It's business as usual.

en I believe it came off his chest or his hand, but I don't care. We were terrific today - even the most ardent Norwich fan would admit we deserved to win - and I was worried we wouldn't get the result we deserved.

en It's real exciting to have two weeks to go and all three of us in it. Really the previous 14 races mean absolutely nothing at this point. I'm excited to see how these last two races go.

en Florida State is a very good team this year. They got off to a rough start this season with a key injury in their lineup, but they've just returned to their full roster, and with him in the lineup they are one of the better teams in the ACC.

en It was the kind of game I expected. It came down to runs. Both teams had their runs. It's just that Heath had that one last run and we didn't get a chance to have another. Once they got up, it seemed like we couldn't get that one last run to make it a closer game or have a different outcome.

en What got us going was that we scored some runs and hit with runners in scoring position. The bottom of the lineup scored some runs. If the bottom of our lineup can hit, we're going to score some runs.
