(Kendall) is very important ordtak

en (Kendall) is very important to (Pitt). Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. I've always had a lot of respect for him. I got a chance to coach against him two summers ago, while coaching (with) the USA team. Last summer, he just completely dominated over there. I've always thought he was really a good player. He's very skilled.

en Kevin came in here on a mission. I thought we were a little bit out of character at Pitt. We probably tried to do a little bit too much and probably didn't realize what good defense Pitt plays. We took shots we thought were good and they weren't because Pitt guards you.

en He's a guy that he'll respect you if you show respect. That's kind of the way I am. I think he values good leadership; that's important to him. He knows he can only do so much as a coach, that it takes good leaders on the team to go that extra mile.

en I think he was working construction the summer before he got the grad assistant's job at Pitt, and I remember how excited he was to get a chance to coach. Besides (his wife) Mary, it was his true love at that time.

en We felt that he has been a really good goal scorer in the National Hockey League, has good speed and is a skilled hockey player, ... Losing Kapanen for at least two months leaves us shallow at forward, so we thought that getting a player like Savage would really help our team.

en This is a year of firsts for this Pittsburgh team. Our motto has been all year, 'Why not Pitt?' We came here to win. I talked to my team before the game and used reverse psychology by telling them Pitt had been to the Big East tournament before and Cincinnati, which is new to the conference this year, hadn't been here before. So they thought 'We' had been here before and they were right. 'We' as in 'Pitt' were before.

en I think it's about a mutual respect. At the same time, the coach may have high expectations and may put some extra demands on him. But you don't ask him to do anything you don't think he's capable of. I always try to go by the line that no one player is more important than the team.

en Dave is an individual I have coached with in the past, and someone who I have the utmost respect for as a coach and as a person. He has a tremendous amount of experience at coaching offense at the Division I level, and has ties to the BIG EAST Conference as a player and a coach.

en We put together a team we thought could make a really good run, a chance to win it all. We thought we were playing well enough. A couple bad bounces here and there. Not to take nothing from Gwinnett. They're a hell of a team. They played well they deserved to win the series. It's kind of a shock. I didn't think I'd be thinking about the summer this early.

en I think Paul did just a wonderful job coaching his team this year. Strategy-wise, I thought Paul did exactly what he needed to do to maximize his talent. I have the utmost respect for him as a game coach.

en I got a chance to see [Brown] in the summer and he's a good player. This team has full confidence in him that he can get the job done.

en Wingate has a very good team. They dominated the South Atlantic Conference this season. They are big, skilled and smart ... a solid team and we will have our work cut out for us.

en He had a lot of influence on me as a basketball player and as a young adult. He taught me about hard work, discipline and respect. He treated the best player on the team and the last player on the team equally, so I never got special treatment. Coach Tisdale was a great family man and that's one of the things I took from him. He touched a lot of lives, including mine.
