The best thing Florida can do to attract business is to have a fair legal system. An unfair legal system sucks the life out of a state's economy. It affects business expansion, it affects jobs and it takes money out of consumers' pockets.

Businesses located in the Northwest portion of Arkansas tended to report stronger economic conditions than businesses in other parts of the state. However, I do expect reasonably solid job growth for most areas through the second quarter of this year.

Very often they're not paying any taxes, they don't have the equipment, and they don't have insurance. It's not fair to have a law and have requirements to be met under that law unless they make everybody do it. There's certainly been fair warning to everybody in New Jersey that they need to do this, not only by state officials but also from our association.

Our state representative has been in office for (nine) years, and we still have not gotten this roadway expanded to the detriment of all neighborhoods and businesses.

Small businesses account for just about all of the new, private jobs in our state. When Pennsylvania's business owners speak up about how high taxes retard economic growth and job creation, the people who represent us in Harrisburg should listen.

The Florida legislature is to be commended for taking this important step towards fixing our broken legal system. Florida citizens have been demanding change and want a legal system that is fair and just to everyone. This vote shows that our elected officials are listening. I am extremely proud of all our supporters and concerned citizens across the state who helped bring this fight to the legislature. You made a difference.

It really expanded opportunities for small businesses. Once the law took effect, we began to heavily market the program across the state.

This state has got to start living within its means. As soon as I talk to businesses, the first thing they ask me is about the tax structure in this state. Some of these legislators in Olympia have got to realize that taxing and spending is not going to bring prosperity.

The Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center will provide economic benefit to Sandpoint and all of Bonner County by supporting Panhandle State Bank's continued job growth in our community. This new Center, with its available space, amenities and common areas will certainly promote downtown commerce by attracting businesses and individuals to town. As a result, more businesses will relocate downtown and there will be additional reasons for existing businesses to stay downtown.

One of the things it will be used for is to raise awareness among public-policy and economic-development officials of the strength and importance of Fairfield County and to gauge the concerns of Fairfield County businesses compared to what we've seen from other businesses across the state.

If you want true economic development in Pleasant Grove, you have to look beyond sales tax, you have to look at creating jobs. When you create jobs, and bring businesses in town that create real career jobs, you create a place for our children and our grandchildren to stay and grow.
