en We can't take anything for granted. We've got to play for 40 minutes. That's the hidden secret for us. We played Towson for 40 minutes and we saw the outcome [a 76-61 win Jan. 28]. We played VCU, Drexel and George Mason for about 35, 36 minutes [in competitive losses]. You play for 40 minutes, that's how you change the outcome of the game. And that's what we need to do.

en There's no resentment on our team, our team feeling slighted because [George Mason] got all the attention. I enjoyed watching them play on tape because they were a team. They played together; they played passionately and hard. But in terms of our team, there was no awkwardness.

en We played really well. We were right down there at the end ... the girls played maybe as hard or as tough as they played all year. We could have won that game.

en George Mason played really well offensively that night. We've got to have a balanced effort and try to take away their effectiveness inside and outside.

en I don't feel like we were the bad guys. We knew George Mason was a good team. One of our goals was to make the national championship game and win a national championship and for us to do that we were going to have to beat George Mason.

en George Mason could easily have been left out. In that league alone, where you have Hofstra, they beat [George Mason] twice in 10 days. If you expanded, they're in. Old Dominion, the same way.

en I know if I'd played somewhere else, I would've scored many more points, ... but George was such a dominant player, you just had to take advantage of a force like that. And he played his heart out. In my lifetime I've seen only two centers who could just take charge of a game, who could put so much fear in other players that they stayed away from the middle. One was Bill Russell. The other, and he was even more dominant, was George Mikan.

en I want to give George Mason a lot of credit. They came out of the gates hot, and that was the difference. That said, I don't think we played particularly well in the first half. We didn't play the way that led us to the Sweet 16. Our shot selection hurt us.
