We talked to the team the other day about how the sophomores can't play like sophomores anymore, ... We can't use that as a crutch. It's not fair to the seniors or the hard work we've put in. Our biggest question mark is our youth. We know we'll be successful. It's a matter of how quickly it translates into varsity wins.

We're definitely a different team than we were six, eight or even 10 games ago. We're playing with more confidence. Our sophomores have an entire season under their belts now. They're not sophomores anymore.

I'm very proud of how far the kids have come. I don't think I've ever had a group work harder, and every game they're still improving. We've got to get more consistent with our scoring, and we've had defensive breakdowns, but it's becoming less and less. ... We've got several seniors that have been together since the ninth grade and they've worked hard for this season. We had to count on several of these guys as sophomores. No matter what you are or who you are, you have to continue to prove yourself. That?s the aspiration we set for this particular team. Freshmen and sophomores might have different aspirations. But seniors aspire to win games.

We have a young team this year, with only three seniors and two juniors. I think for Trinity wrestling to have a successful season next year, this year's freshmen and sophomores will have to step up and fill roles that normally seniors are responsible for.

We've just got some sophomores playing that need to step up and not be sophomores any more. But our kids played extremely hard and did a lot of good things. I'm not upset with this loss.
