We really struggled at ordtak

We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions. That fourth quarter was like a game within a game. Jackson was working hard, and knocking down shots, and I felt our kids were working hard too. When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

We came out and played a strong game from the start. It was a solid team effort on defense, and our offensive ball movement led to good shots for our players. Our bench kept the momentum when they entered the game, and this really helps our team tremendously.

We felt like we would run the ball well. The offensive line did a good job. We need to work on the passing game. Too many turnovers in the air.

It was the only way we could handle them, limiting their possessions. But we gave up 24 offensive rebounds and 29 turnovers. When you do that, holding the ball doesn't do you much good.

They have to play. They need to get that game experience. It's hard to create a tight game situation in practice. Playing is important, but they need to work on ball-handling, too.

There are always too many turnovers whenever we play. It just costs us too many offensive possessions. If we ever cut down on turnovers we'll be a pretty good team. I thought the key was we couldn't put the ball in the basket very well. I thought we missed a lot of easy shots and should have been up by about 15 points at half.

We just have to work a lot harder right now. We played good ball at the start of the season, but since the Hanford High game have struggled.

We are looking forward to the playoff game with Mount Pleasant. They are a good offensive team. Our defenders must maintain concentration and composure throughout the game in order to stop their attacks.

I told him it's over and we're moving on. He missed it. No one feels worse than him. He's going to continue to work hard. He's going to work harder. He'll find a way. Shortly, we'll see him make a couple of free throws to win a game. He's handling it well.

Nora dominated that game. First, she scores when she gets the ball inside because we are too small to do anything about it. Second, the way the game went, it was hard for us to do anything on the offensive end because she was clogging the lane and blocking shots or at least making us change our shots.

I think for us it's where we're understanding the game more, but our skill level hasn't caught up to what our knowledge is. The only thing that's really limiting us is our touch and what we do with the ball, I think as a team the girls are understanding the game, which is good, we're now limited by what we can do with the ball.

We had good life from start to finish, and we played very good defense with the exception of a handful of possessions. That allowed us to get out and get our running game going, and get some good looks in transition; and we shot the ball well tonight.
