This year, getting off the field on third downs would be a big help to us. Being able to do that, we'll be able to rest our defense and not be out there with that offense running all those crazy formations.

en They really hurt us. I don't know what their percentage was, but it felt like 80 percent. During those third downs they were just completing those passes and keeping the chains moving and keeping the clock moving.

en The thing we talk about all the time is first and second down is huge, stay ahead of the chains. Don't be third-and-8, third-and-10; be third-and-4 or less. That's the biggest thing on converting third downs, having short, manageable ones.

en We weren't as sharp in the early going of game two as we should have been. We made some mistakes in the field. But Aurora threw very well and we picked it up as the game went along.

en I'm not going to get down on myself if I have a bad day or two in early March, or if I can't get on the field for a couple days in a row in early March because something happens. It's a trial process that I have to come back. I've said it a thousand times, but my point is April 3rd is my date.
