It's a continuation of the same concerns. People don't want to put money in when we have nothing but uncertainty on the international front. There's been so much selling already, but whatever is left is enough to drag the market down. People want to sit it out right now.

The major trend in the market over the last couple of weeks has been uncertainty. Uncertainty about the Fed, uncertainty about earnings, and we're seeing a continuation of that today.

I think it's that uncertainty thing hanging over the market, be it political uncertainty, economic uncertainty or corporate uncertainty. Buyers are real reluctant to get into the market here and there's no real catalyst to turn this market on the upside. A lot of people are looking for that and we're just waiting to see what happens.

We have uncertainty resulting from international events -- the Iraq situation, as well as international terror -- while domestically, in Congress, we have done our part to create uncertainty with regard to spending policy, as well as tax policy, ... We passed some tax cuts that are going to expire, and that creates uncertainty when people plan for their future.

There's a certain amount of rotation of different types of market participants, and now you've got to come in all over again and say, 'OK, here's how you can make money by selling software that people can download for free,' ... A new crowd of people now has to understand that.

There's a huge market for copper, aluminum. There's a market in the foreign countries for that, so these people are coming and stealing them and then evidently selling and getting some good money out of it.

The rally this morning couldn't hold up because there's just no conviction, ... There's some selling pressure there, but it's more that buyers have no religion. Tech and telecom are this huge drag on the market. People are buying very defensively in health care, chemicals, consumer products and pharmaceuticals.

People talk about consumer confidence, but that is a misleading phrase. There are a number of factors that mean people just have less money. Mortgage rates are at a historic high for many people. Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness. The fuel price is another major contributory factor. We don't see any particular reason why any of that will change for at least another six months or so. We reckon we can grow market share, but that will be through increasing selling space.

People don't want to lose any more money, and selling begets selling, ... No one is giving any good guidance and it's a complete selling fest.

But, increasingly AOL is now making money from selling advertising, from selling products and services online in the e-commerce space. And we think that's going to continue over time. Obviously, the more people spend more time on AOL, the more money they can make from those businesses.

You have this uncertainty. People will not contribute money in times of uncertainty.

The insurance companies have already caused a six-month delay by taking this to federal court under a false premise. I think it is shameful that the insurance industry would drag this out while people are living in limbo. I just want to know how much money they've saved themselves holding on to these people's money?
