en It was a gritty effort by both teams, but hitting those three-pointers was the difference for us. Tonight, we did a horrendous job of finishing at the basket. We were fortunate to shoot such a high percentage in three-pointers.

en We came out in a man-to-man because we didn't want to give up any three 3-pointers to them. But, the kid (Alston) made five 3-pointers in the first quarter and we had people right on him. He was hitting them from way out.

en You know what it's like in basketball when a guy's hitting 3-pointers and can't miss? When you get in a zone? It doesn't happen very often, but we got fortunate.

en He can drive to the basket; he can shoot the three, and we had games this season where he would knock down six or seven 3-pointers. Those are all things that make him such a good ballplayer. If you try to take something away from him, he'll do something else.

en He's been a starter for us for the last two years. He's been a high scorer on the outside and is good at hitting three-pointers.

en That got me worried because I wasn't expecting them to shoot very well. Our main goal was to stop them inside. If they're going to bank in 3-pointers, then maybe it's just not our night. But I knew they probably wouldn't keep hitting all game.

en We were fortunate to get the brothers from Louisiana despite what happen to their city. They have brought a lot to the table, but our game has always been focused around the 3-point shot. We always try to shoot as many 3-pointers as we can in the game.

en It was crazy how they were making 3-pointers. Most of their points came off threes and on their 2-pointers they often had a foot on the (3-point) line.

en We shot the ball really well, and that was the difference tonight. Tom Powers made six 3-pointers and was everywhere on the court. It was just a great performance for our team.

en Stratford is a very experienced team and tonight they came out focused, ready to play. We had our opportunities, but we didn't cash in and the made us pay by hitting 15 points on 3-pointers.

en Offensively, we couldn't get going. We took two more 3-pointers than 2-pointers in the first half. They did a good job of plugging up the middle. But when you hold a team to 19 points, you can afford a poor shooting night.

en We really haven't shown how well we can shoot the ball. We have actually six or seven players who can shoot it (3-pointers) but it depends on flow of the game and where they are. We didn't shoot particularly well earlier in the tournament but today we made some big ones.

en His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. As good as we were (Thursday) night percentage-wise, tonight our foul shooting nearly brought us down. Our guards turned things up in the fourth, and once we hit a couple 3-pointers, we finally started playing Bethel basketball.

en The team really stepped up and played tough, aggressive ball, but we couldn't shoot for anything in the second half. Calvary was the complete opposite, hitting seven of their eight 3-pointers in the second half, with five of those coming in the third quarter.

en That was too little too late. Nick also, in the first five minutes, let a freshman point guard beat him to the basket for two baskets. I'm happy Nick shot in some 3-pointers but I can't find a whole lot good about our performance tonight.
