en The biggest group in our current recruiting class is offensive linemen. Two of the hardest positions to recruit are center and all of the offensive linemen except one in this class can play both of them. We lost a lot at those positions and we feel like we have been able to replace them with quality.

en The defensive linemen that we have, they're really good. They're the reason that our linebackers are doing so well this year. They've been keeping the linemen off of us, so I have to give credit to them.

en The biggest thing is that, the reason we've had trouble running the ball so far, is that we keep going against three down linemen fronts. And that's just different. It's unorthodox. It's a whole new different set of blocking schemes. (Tulane) runs what we do, four down linemen. And it's just so much more natural. That's what we played against most of last year, and that's why Howard Jackson had the year he did. Because that's what we were used to and it's just basic blocking.

en It means Notre Dame is once again becoming a major force in college recruiting after a 10-year absence. They beat all the top national programs to get Young. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. He will be the anchor of the best class of incoming offensive linemen in the nation. He is very active and aggressive. He has all the ingredients to be a left tackle at a major program.

en They addressed some big needs at running back and wide receiver. But the offensive linemen, I don't think anybody had heard of before Mississippi State started recruiting them.

en I sent out 10,000 e-mails to recruiting offices nationwide in search of exceptional children's teachers and I got five hits.

en You're a 14-year old at homecoming starting against a team that's a perennial power in Central Ohio? We knew he's be nervous. He's going to be an exceptional quarterback. He's already an exceptional kid.

en One question I'm always asked after the recruiting period is what kind of recruiting year do you think you've had? And my answer is always the same. Ask me in 10 years when I see what they're doing with their lives.

en Look at our linemen compared to other linemen around the league. We're smaller, faster-running linemen. If one guy overruns the play, another guy is right there cleaning up his garbage. Everybody takes care of everybody else in this running game.

en Last year Duke had a monster recruiting class. This year North Carolina has a monster recruiting class. These two teams, with the way their personnel is rigged, should basically alternate Final Four appearances.

en He is a five-star prospect, and we only give out 50 in the entire country. He is the No. 6 overall lineman, and that is an impressive number this year. The country is loaded with linemen; North Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia's top prospects are all offensive linemen.
