There's nothing that I could think of that could have gone better. We didn't lose. We won the state championship. The accolades I got after the season were great, coach got coach of the year in state. It was great.

I had an offer from Akron, and one of the coaches that recruited me knew (Dana) Walker, ... That coach from Akron kind of steered me to Winston-Salem State. And here I am.
