It's a great way for our six seniors to go out. Rice played a phenomenal second half. From the foul line, everywhere, they were double and triple-teaming him, and he played real tough. Timmy hit a couple big threes, opening it up for us in the second half.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

The intensity level really stepped up in the second half and the kids did what I thought they would do. Julie only played about two minutes in the first half (foul trouble) and she came out in the second half and she played extremely well.

Soquel did a good job of double- and triple-teaming her when she got the ball. They played to win.

That (Henderson) is tough to stop. What helped us in the first half was (Gibson) being on the bench in foul trouble, and that made a big difference when she played most of the second half. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines.

This is a tough loss because the kids wanted it so bad. We actually had them on the ropes a couple times in the first half but couldn't keep the turnovers down. It's a fine line ? you don't want them tentative and you don't want them throwing the ball away. I'm still real proud of how we played, a lot of desire and heart.

I just thought the girls played super in the second half. We were a little nervous in the first half, but in the second half, we played real well.
