en It's really a poor excuse for college baseball on our part. It's things we work on every day. It's pretty evident to me that the lack of experience is hurting us. If you look out on the field, it's all happening with guys that have not played in big conference series. It's all happening to them. We're really struggling.

en You see guys now who are hitting .400 who, come September or July, they're going to be hitting .200. And there are guys who are notoriously slow starters who, as the season gets going, they'll play up to their career averages. We have guys who are not performing well right now who have good track records, and they'll be there when all is said and done.

en That's pretty awesome. I didn't have any idea this was happening, Herman handles all of that and does a good job. But that's pretty good. Playing any Pac-10 school is great for the university.

en We are probably hitting more this week than we ever have, just to see, ... We have 40 kids out there, and it is pretty competitive. So we have some kids we can put in, but they are going to have a lack of experience.

en There is much more happening in March, and we usually expect a bit of a lull in April. April was a monthly record despite a tough comparison from last year, which was a very strong month.
