I get on with ordtak

en I get on with my life. I don't know the politics of Scottish football. I know I played up here for Celtic, but you tell me the politics of football. Would Rangers ever consider me? Why answer the question unless it is asked, and I don't know if it will ever be asked.

en I had never played organized football before in my life. I was tossing a football at George Lane Park and Quinton asked me if I wanted to play... This could be the last chance I get to play football in my life.

en Neither in the past was I associated with politics, nor today I have any association with politics and I will never join politics. It is out of question for me to jump into politics.

en He never asked us. If he had asked the question, we probably would have been able to answer him. But we were so involved in 2006, 2007 that we didn't think it was that important to conclude something for 2007 in 2005. Frankly, if really he thinks that, then it's a pity he didn't discuss it with us. He never asked me the question 'Are you going to be there in 2007 or 08?' because I would have answered yes.

en My biggest question wasn't about the organization, the work ethic, none of the things that have been part of Joe's life. My biggest question had to do with how he would adapt and adjust to calling plays in a different time in football. That really was one of the greatest challenges that he faced last year was, 'Can I run my offense as I knew it in this modern day and age of football'. And the answer was no.

en I was asked a specific question. It was almost like the guy asked me, 'Why are you standing in the corner not being aggressive, trying to get the ball?' I was trying to answer it best I could. I didn't mean it in any way.

en Politics is a part of everyday life in Afghanistan, so I think it's not right to say that they are completely inexperienced in politics. But, yes, they are going to need a lot of support to begin with, learning their way. Some of them will be illiterate, but I'm not too worried. Leaders will emerge there pretty quick, and they'll know what they are doing. They know about politics.

en So many people have asked me, 'What is it about fantasy football?' And I've never been able to put my finger on it. I can't explain it. It just is. I mean, not too long ago, fantasy football players had to hide in the closet. But sometime in the last five years or so, everybody started coming out. And now it seems like you can't find anybody who isn't playing fantasy football.

en I think the score speaks for itself. It's amazing what football has managed to do in Greece, ... (Football has) managed to unite the country, something politics wasn't able to do.

en The belief that politics can be scientific must inevitably produce tyrannies. Politics cannot be a science, because in politics theory and practice cannot be separated, and the sciences depend upon their separation. Empirical politics must be kept in bounds by democratic institutions, which leave it up to the subjects of the experiment to say whether it shall be tried, and to stop it if they dislike it, because, in politics, there is a distinction, unknown to science, between Truth and Justice.
  W. H. Auden

en He always told the truth. If you asked him a question, he was going to give you the answer. You might not have liked the answer; a few times I didn't like the answer. But I understood his point. He took his time to tell you why he thought that way or why you should do certain things.
