I wasn't the only one struggling. They made changes that screwed me. I'm not young; I'm not saying you should just give me respect, (but) you can't just whip me around, make me a whipping ball for anyone.

I get strike one, a ground ball back to me, and I screwed up, ... I was just fortunate enough that I was able to regroup, make some quality pitches after that to keep it a tie ballgame and give us a chance to win.

It's been done at probably every ski resort or amusement park that's got a chairlift. Kids sometimes get bounced in their chairs and are able to start the cable whipping and it'll whip itself off the towers.

I think the Mavericks -- our team -- we've kind of forgotten who we are as basketball team and what made us successful. It wasn't shots on the offense. It wasn't holding the ball. We've kind of looked like some of our old teams with one guy pounding the ball instead of ball movement and player movement. We haven't been physical. Is that because we've been fatigued? I don't know. I know we've been a step slow. I can see that -- mentally and physically. We just need to get back to being who we are, and I think that will give us a better chance to win some of these games.

Avery Johnson (1965-)

He came in with a [1.33] ERA and he pitched just like it. He did all the things to keep the ball off the barrel. So give him a lot of credit. We didn't play all that well behind, so it wasn't much of a game. The couple mistakes Jason made left the park. It wasn't much of a contest.

Look, she really screwed up and it had a profound effect on her career. To me, it seemed it wasn't fair for someone that young to be that severely beaten up. So we're letting her come back.

Lorne Michaels (1944-)

These young men screwed up. They made some poor decisions. They are still good kids.

Just whipping that ball around and sharing, guys knocking down threes. Team play is the most important thing to me. I'm not really averaging a lot of points. But at the same time, we're winning, I'm happy, my assists are up. It's fun when we share the ball and make the extra pass.

They pressed in the first half, too. We were just more decisive of what we were doing. There wasn't the miscommunication and the confusion. We were getting the ball up quick, and our big guys were shooting a very high percentage. The press wasn't harder in the second half; we made it harder. A lot of people say that we're a young team and that we have to grow. But that time is over. We all have to step up.

I wasn't pressing, but I wasn't seeing the ball real well and wasn't feeling real confident at the plate. That's what made me want to jump out and get out of the slump. I have been seeing the ball for about a week, so it was just a matter of coming through.

He wasn't ready and he wasn't going to let anyone force him into a decision. I respect the young man for that. A lot of these kids just jump into it too quickly, but he stepped back and got his bearings. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness.

It's just continue to get into a rhythm and make it a habit. We have to trust that as soon as we whip that ball back, the quarterback gets it.

because you know he'll swing at anything, ... You know
he's going to put the bat on the ball. And if he can reach it, he
will. The pitch was probably not necessarily where I wanted it, but
he just as well could have popped it up, too.
