en I'm really proud of these guys to win the last three games [of this series] and finish 6-2. I know they really enjoy coming here and playing on this field in front of this crowd.

en (Yesterday) was as close as I'm going to get to a regular-season game -- pitching against my old team and pitching in front of a crowd you like pitching in front of. It's just funny, man. You look across the field and see all the guys you've been playing with the last few years. It's like playing against your neighbor in Little League or something. It's hard to keep a straight face.

en When you get up 15 in your division through 45 games, what you're trying to do is you're focusing on what you have ahead and that's the playoffs. en We can look back on these last six games and be proud of what we accomplished. Since our first team meeting, we've felt like it was something special. We have a nice mixture of veterans and young guys who really care about each other and enjoy coming together each week.

A two-day Test against Zimbabwe or Bangladesh is not that enjoyable. Going to India and being tested in their conditions, playing South Africa, playing England the way they are playing now - they are the series people remember. As players you want to be tested. You don't want easy games. At the moment everybody is being tested. A Test match is a test of your technique, your patience, a test of everything about you.

en His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence. I just want him to relax and enjoy playing the game. He seems to ride those peaks and valleys, which is typical for a freshman. I want to make sure our guys are enjoying this and look around, they're on national television and playing in front of 20,000 people at Syracuse. This is what they've wanted their whole life. en When you look at the [Cup] seats coming available and the up-front running young guys in the Busch Series are all spoken for. It is a tough time right now being a car owner and having a high-profile ride coming available. There really aren't enough talented young guys to pick from right now.

en I am proud of our guys and am starting to see some positive things. Our guys are still playing hard, despite our record. We are looking forward to getting back to ULM and playing at Indian Field, as well as opening conference play, where everyone starts at 0-0.

en This is one of those games you want when you're going out on the road. That's why in the third quarter, I was proud of the guys. ... I brought the guys together and reminded them of how we've let teams get back in games in the third quarter. I just said let's finish this one.

en It's nice to get the series over early. It was definitely a grind to play against those guys and now we get a chance to rest up. We wanted to finish them off in front of our home fans.

en [While the Revolution begin the series on the road, they are confident of getting a result - which could then mean they would be at home for the final two games on the way to a possible MLS Cup appearance.] The home-field advantage has been huge the last three years. Against Chicago [in '03] we were well-beaten away; they were the better team and deserved to win, but if we had been at home, maybe the balance could have gone the other way, ... Last year, the crowd was behind D.C. the whole game; we were unlucky not to get through, and the home crowd could have tipped the balance in our favor.

en This team always plays great defense on me. I knew that coming into the series, it would be a tough series. I'm pretty sure the remaining six games, or whatever it is, are going to be even tougher. But so many guys chipped in and kept the boat afloat.

en We're really looking forward to coming down to Newcastle, playing in front of a big crowd and showing how much we have improved as a side since October.
