It's the part of baseball that (stinks). You can form some great friendships with teammates, and in an instant, they're gone.

We gave him grief about everything. We always got on him about his physique, which is less than intimidating. How he'd dress sometimes. All that stuff. He was fair game. He played the game, and he gave it back. That was part of the great thing there, for the three of us to be able to be teammates as long as we were, to form a great friendship. Nowadays in baseball, that's hard to do.

Umpiring of baseball has been around since Day 1 and some calls are missed, but most of the time they get it right, ... Instant replay in baseball? I don't know if it is ever going to be such a plus that is should be a part of our game. There are plays that are going to be bang bang. But you have to absorb that and play good baseball.

I've been around it a lot. It stinks when it happens, but it happens to every team in Major League Baseball, and, unfortunately, several times a year. So that was our first. We've got to get by and move on. It stinks, but it just happens.

When Major League Baseball owners unanimously voted to allow team logos to be part of instant ticket games, we then had an opportunity to create yet another innovative venture.

I put in so much for this sport, and it kind of stinks to see your teammates lose every match. I just put everything behind me.

I'm sure in some form they'll be tough. Jefferson comes from the Concorde, which is great in baseball. I'm sure both will impact our district.

I kind of got Chauncey with the cross over early. So I wanted to keep going straight without hesitating. My teammates did a great job of setting me up and coach drew up a great play. They did a great job of getting me open and I had the easy part of knocking down the shot.

Women have a wonderful opportunity to be a central part of baseball, and if I can help reach some of them and show them how they can be a part of it, what a great responsibility.
