en As far as losing four in a row, I feel like we're a much different team. I think we have 15 new guys. We have a much different defense, a much-improved defense. We just have to find a way to step up and find a way to meet this challenge.

en I think what they have going for them right now is great team defense. I think the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, because when you break down this defense you can probably find some deficiencies at each position. But collectively, they've been able to mask them by playing good team defense.

en Usually you'll find one group -- the line, the linebackers or the secondary -- that's better than another, but this defense is just as good in every area. It's the best defense I've ever coached against. I've been looking for weaknesses for several weeks and I can't seem to find one.

en Offense on the outside, defense on the inside. The defense has to move and find somebody to block out, and you're not just blocking out your own man, you've got to find somebody. We've been doing it all season long, and getting better and better in that category of the game.

en It's not so unusual for the defense to be ahead of the offense. It's pretty good that that's the case. If you can stop people, you have a chance to win some football games. I think we'll be improved on defense. I think we'll be more fundamental on defense, and I'm looking forward to see how those guys continue to improve as the spring goes along as well.

en The bottom line for us is defense. It's not about our offense. It's always been about out defense. When we play good defense, we can compete with anybody. When we don't, that's when we find ourselves in a bad position.

en They have so much heart it seems. And it's a whole team effort. Every one of their guys can play defense. We couldn't find offense anywhere.

en I tried to tell the players that you have to be realistic. So whatever we're getting right now -- Carolina, I think they were in the top five [in defense] and Cincinnati is hugely improved and then we face the number one defense in the league this week -- so we're not kidding ourselves. en Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.

en They are a much-improved team. They have an excellent defense, and they are finding their way offensively. This will be a huge challenge.

en We couldn't find the rhythm on offense because of our defense. We usually get it going with our defense. If we play defense like this, we can't do it.

en I definitely feel like I'm a better player than when I was 22, ... There are certain things that have improved: My defense has improved a lot, my serve has improved a lot. I feel like mentally I'm just a little stronger. I don't think there is any way I would be able to do what I'm doing right now two or three years ago.

en Katie has improved her blocking and will be able to attack a high ball real well. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. Ashley has improved her quickness and the technical part of her game. Erin is healthy and is looking strong. Erica anticipates well. Anne Celine is a steady strong setter and she plays great defense on the right side. She is the hardest worker on the team. Val is more poised and she has improved her defense play.
