This team has a bit of a habit of getting comfortable and everyone wants to revert to the easy way to play. That's not good enough, especially this time of the year against a team like that.

You don't have players on the team that can't play a style that's comfortable for the coach. Isiah and I understand that. He knows the guys I like in the league. It's not easy to make trades. My job is to find out what these guys can do and if they can do the things we think will help us be a good team for the long run.

The only problem is now when you play a team when you're ranked, they're bringing their 'A' game all the time. Even if it's not a good team, it will make their whole season to knock off someone this high. I don't think we've been in this situation enough to be totally comfortable not being the underdog. I'm actually a little concerned.

Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

I think that my team this year has a lot of team chemistry, and they play well together. And we have a lot of players who feel more comfortable shooting the ball.

We are looking forward to (today). We have elected to do it the old fashioned way and really concentrate on fundamentals. Looking at the team statistics last year, one area we really need to continue to improve is shooting. We know that it's never easy when there is a new staff. It's not an easy road. I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

I really got to develop a lot and play a lot down there. The coaches really helped me and really made me feel comfortable playing in all situations. It was a good year all around for the team.

This year I think you'll see Michael Vick at his best. This year I'm more comfortable, I'm more relaxed. Last year I was a rookie. Now I feel it's my team, and it's my time. Somewhere in my heart, I know, and can feel something good about to happen.

It's been a long time since we had two champions on this team, and I think it's something the team sorely needs, ... The addition of Dan gives us a good one-two punch. I'm more comfortable working with guys who know how to win.

Chip Ganassi (1958-)

I always found out you're only as good as the backups on your team - they're only a play away from starting. Any chance we can get them in, we are. We don't want district to be the first time. That way, they'll be used to the game and feel more comfortable.

Castillo has been huge for us, not only this year, but in the past. He's an asset on this team. He really keeps us in the games and keeps us advancing. Land O' Lakes is a good team. They always have a good program, so we weren't expecting anything easy coming up here.
