It?s my job to open up the defense. When I can do that, Martin and Curtis are great finishers inside.

Curtis understands that he's going to be back here, (but) there's going to be open competition (for the starting position). Obviously, Curtis Martin will have a role on this team.

At the end of the day, those guys are who make the league great because of what they do on the field, how they conduct themselves as professionals and what the do off the field. His legacy as a player goes far beyond his football career.

The thing I like about Martin's play was his defense. I thought with his four steals and his very good defense, particularly in that stretch where we went on that late run, was very important. Martin is a pleasing guy and he wants to please everybody. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. He had people here and he's from here and my guess is he pleased them all.

Rich is a guy that I wanted on my staff when I went to Martin. We're going to use the same defense we ran at Martin, and he is very knowledgeable of that defense.
