en This whole year, we've had rough games and then put together great stretches out there. It was just us growing as a team.

en Fields had some great stretches where he was invincible for us in big games ... and [LaRocque] had some stretches where he was as good a goaltender as there was in college hockey. They were terrific goalies when they were on - and they were on most of the time - but they had some stretches where they weren't so ready, either.

en It's not beautiful, but it's sweet to these guys. It's been a rough road all year, but this team is still young and learning how to play - we've got a sophomore point guard. But they're growing. It's not like we're getting killed, we're in games and we haven't been able to finish it off, and today we finished it off.

en I wanted our team to be pressed some this year. We have some tough stretches in our schedule this year, but I think we can still pull out 15 to 20 games this year.

en You go into a season expecting to contend for the Cup every year. We have a lot of positives on our team. We can't have any big letdowns in the season. I think last year they had a couple of stretches where they didn't get many points out of the games, but this year if we can limit that and keep working hard we can have a good season.

en We've had games where we've been close (to being complete). We've had games where we've not been anywhere near on the same planet. But it's just a matter of us really, really concentrating. And when we do we look so good. We can have six possessions in a row where we look like the best team in the country. And then we'll go through these stretches where it's like, 'Man, what are we doing out there?' And that's what it felt like (Wednesday).

en It's never good to lose, but every team goes through rough stretches. This game is momentum and you can see it over the course of a game. It carries onto day-to-day stuff, too. We're scuffling right now and pieces aren't fitting right together. It's part of the game, but we have to move on.

en The morale of the team is very good. They know what's ahead of them and they're pretty confident. We've had some tough stretches this season, but the sign of a good team is what you learn from those stretches.

en We just have too many stretches where we play bad basketball. We started the game in great shape and then things fell apart. We let them get away from us. Those bad stretches have hurt us all season.

en It's helped our whole team. We still need to elevate our play quite a bit, but we seem to be playing better for longer stretches (of games).

en You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

en If we beat them, it still doesn't make up for what happened last year. They've got great defense and a bullpen that's one of the best. They do all the little things. I think they're a pest for everybody. Yeah, we've had some rough elimination games there. You remember them, but you don't really think about them while you're playing. We've been eliminated in other places.

en It's funny because the team's really gotten better, even lately. Players don't see improvement during stretches like this but coaches do and it's there. Even from just six or seven games ago, we've improved in certain areas.

en It's my Kansas, it's my Duke, it's my North Carolina. Growing up here and growing up as a little kid during the national tournament and helping out in the dressing rooms with my dad, watching all the great teams and great coaches that have passed through this building ... and also coming to Blue Dragon games since I was a little kid and admiring the players ...

en Every team is going to have some rough patches. Great teams overcome the rough patches. I thought it took us too long to respond tonight, but we play hard and we're going to get better.
