en She always comes out with her best game against me, ... I feel like I'll definitely be able to play better on, what will it be, Tuesday. I'm looking forward to it. Serena's promised to help me get my game together.

en A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. We'll feel good about ourselves today and get back to work tomorrow. Tuesday's game will be a whole different ball game. We worked all year for home-court advantage. We can't come into Tuesday and lose it.

en I felt like I had an opportunity at 5-3 to break, but I didn't get that, ... Then 5-4, I had a pretty bad service game, two double faults. I think Serena had like a monster return or two that I couldn't do anything with, which happens if you're playing Serena Williams. At that point it was just all about sticking in there.

en I'm not just going to say it was one of those games because, obviously, we needed this game. We needed to play well to get ready and get focused for Tuesday. But the worst thing we can do is dwell on this and allow this to weigh us down and take away from the importance of Tuesday's game.

en After last night, ... I'd be looking forward to coach any game. We gave away a real opportunity to win a game, and so the sooner we play, the better I feel.

en I think you can't overreact from one game, the Norway game, and ignore the Canada game. You judge players over time, not over a game. As he continues to move forward we'll have a better feel for the direction he's headed. Obviously, he's getting better. From my perspective, I need to see if he's developing into a guy who should be a player on the World Cup roster and can help us win a game.

en Serena and I are exactly the opposite of anything that ever happened before in the game. The old tennis world was pretty reserved. Serena and I are bold. We stand out. We have color. We're strong. We're pretty. We have personalities. We think things out. We're smart.

en Practice was more relaxed. We need to be more relaxed. Last week was too intense. (Tuesday) we were relaxed and had more fun on the ice laughing and all that. Sometimes in hockey if you play too intense or too tight you don't play your best game. (Monday and Tuesday) were more relaxing days and I think that's going to show in our game (tonight).

en There is a different feel. We definitely need [the fans'] help. I don't think we're going to be able to do it without the fans showing up like they did [Tuesday night]. That was great. It's easy to play in a game like that. The fans make it really easy for you to get that adrenaline level up, and that was definitely key for us [on Tuesday].

en Everyone right now is out to get us. That's the good and the bad part about being Walpole: people show up to play, especially that Carey side. We're very pleased to get a win out of that one. Now we're just taking it one game at a time. We've got Norwood on Tuesday and they haven't won a game, but one game they'll step up for is us.

en It's been a while since we were in a shootout. We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me. en We didn't play our best game on Tuesday. And the guys really responded and had a really good practice (Wednesday) and it showed. ... The defense tonight is the way we want to move forward. It's a process, so we're seeing it more and more.

en There's very little that separates the three teams that are going to be playing in the regional. Very little. If we play the way we did in (Tuesday's) first game, we'll give ourselves an opportunity to win. But if we don't take advantage of our opportunities or have one game where we don't play well, we're going to get beat. It's that simple.

en This was a tough game to get up for tonight. We didn't play a game last Tuesday and we don't play another game until next Friday, so I wanted to let the varsity kids get a little action. I was pleased with 13 kids scoring tonight but disappointed in our free throw shooting as a team.
