en We're mainly trying to figure it out (based on who plays different) golf balls. I think it's important in that foursomes match, to get two players that complement each other. en I didn't hit one fairway on that hole the whole tournament. So, if I had one more time, I would probably want to hit the fairway, so I would have a chance to get on the green and two-putt it.

en Our young guys got to play a lot this week and that will help us down the road. It is a long season and you never know when one of those guys will be counted on to come in and make plays.

en The firmness of the fairways certainly brings the field a little bit closer and the long hitters, their balls are going to be running off the fairway into the rough. So it certainly closes the gap. If it was wet, I'd be hitting two more clubs iron-wise into the greens, and then it would be really tough.

en All it's going to do is give the same 10 guys a chance to win. Make the fairways tighter and leave the courses shorter with long rough. Make it like the U.S. Open every week. Then everyone has a chance.

en I think you have to hit it left today. If you carried it, it's still not going to go through the fairway too much. A couple of the long hitters can fly right over them, but most of us are going to have to play it left today.

en We have more home run hitters now than we had in the past. We (used to have) a lot of guys who could hit singles pretty consistently. But we've got some guys now who are big and physical enough to run through some tackles and make some big plays.

en We've gotten kind of stingy and spoiled by them. But our guys love to play behind them. The guys behind them know they're going to battle hitters and give them a chance to win.

en This event is what it is and continues to be because as this week plays out and guys getting primary cars in is and continues to be because how this week plays out and guys getting primary cars in will lead into what happens in the second week. That's no different than what we've done and has historically not changed.

en Long does help in the fairway here, more so than most golf courses, because it's 7,400 yards. The guys that are driving the ball well, and on top of that a little bit higher, are certainly going to have an advantage.

en I think we felt a little more confident. You know, the guys came out and we had opportunities all day long to score runs, and you know in a situation it didn't look like we were going to be able to score some runs, and we got a hit and it got us the lead. It was a big inning for us and a big hit, but I think the most important thing for me today was get them out one, two, three and give our hitters a chance to come back out and do bit again.

en This is pro golf now. Driving it long and straight is obviously a serious advantage. There are still ways to get around it and this golf course, if it plays dry and firm a regular hitter will still have a great chance this week.
