en Today it got really firm. I think they were expecting rain, but it never happened. It was a good test. Still one of the best golf courses we played on Tour and hopefully we'll come back here.

The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.

en I have played here since I was 12 and really enjoy it. There is not too many golf courses you play where it just fits your eye, but this is one of the golf courses for me. en This is one of the hardest golf courses that we play all year. It's going to be windy again (today). The wind is out of the north and the greens are dried out, there is no moisture, so they are rolling really fast and they're firm.

en Ask me my favorite courses and I will tell you the ones where I have won. I have not won here, but I have done well and I always look forward to coming back. It's a fantastic test of golf.

en There are some things I need to work on just to get a feel back. I haven't played baseball for a while. I need to get some timing ... get some feel back. That stuff is going to be done in the cage and out here with coaches BP. This is a big test for me. I made contact. A lot of good things happened today.

en Today we had a mechanical problem which ruined almost all the time available. Just before it began to rain I went out on the second bike which was much better, but then the rain brought the test to a halt. We are here to test, and it's better that the problems emerge here rather than in the race!

en Obviously I haven't had much success there (Glen Abbey) so it was nice to play some good golf and shoot some good scores so the next time it comes back there I'll have some confidence. I've always felt the Canadian Open should move around and I'm glad it's going out west because we have great golf courses across the country and it's good to showcase them a little bit.

en We like to make our courses as hard as possible, but we realize we can't shut the course down for a couple weeks ahead of time like the PGA Tour. We think Quicksilver will be a good test for our players.
