en I thought we could chip away (at 4-0) and I thought it was the best chance of staying in the game. It didn't work out.

en I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. en I thought about home. I actually thought about seeing my family and if I was ever going to be able to see them again. I thought about staying alive and talking with all my other military buddies to get our minds off of what was going on.

Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,
