The thing is, good pitching always beats good hitting. Unfortunately, Dmitri (Young) stole third and we had one out, all I had to do was hit the ball to the outfield. I couldn't get it done. We just didn't get the big hits when we needed to.

After penalties, you're more limited on options on the play calling, ... When it's second-and-15, you don't script plays like that. That puts the offensive coordinator in a position where he's limited his whole game plan down.

I'm going to be the second baseman and this is great for me, but I just want to play. It's OK if they want me to play third base or the outfield. I just want to play a lot and get at-bats.

We've turned our focus toward the outfield and adding a run producer from the outfield. We're edging closer to that.
